Rachel OnishiPHYSIOTHERAPIST
Rachel received her Masters of Physical Therapy in 2009 from Queen's University. Since then, Rachel has been successfully treating clients with a variety of conditions. Rachel believes treatment should be multi-modal with a strong focus on manual therapy, functional strengthening exercises, and therapeutic modalities. Rachel is passionate about ongoing education and is continuously updating her clinical knowledge through postgraduate courses. She also is an Assistant Clinical Professor (Adjunct) with the School of Rehabilitation and Science at McMaster University and a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physiotherapy (FCAMPT). When she's not at the clinic, you can catch her out on the baseball diamond, hiking in the trails or out on the slopes. |
Justin CollinsPHYSIOTHERAPIST
Justin graduated with a Masters of Physical Therapy following the completion of his Honours Science Degree in Kinesiology. Justin has obtained his Level One Manual Therapy Certificate through the Canadian Physiotherapy Association. He has successfully completed several acupuncture courses from the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute (AFCI) and the Advanced Physical Therapy Education Institute (APTEI). Justin approaches patient-centered physiotherapy in order to help others improve their function and well-being, while empowering them to take an active role in their own health management. He has completed several FITforeGOLF levels, and has written and presented on golf-related injuries, their prevention, and rehabilitation. Justin holds a current faculty appointment as Assistant Clinical Professor (Adjunct) with the School of Rehabilitation Science at McMaster University. When Justin is not at ISM Rehab he can be found playing hockey, golf, exercise training, cottaging, or spending time with family. |
Eva HabrowskiPHYSIOTHERAPIST
Eva graduated with a Masters of Physical Therapy from McMaster University. She has also obtained an Honors Bachelors of Science degree from the University of Guelph. She has received her Manual Level One Therapy Certificate through the Canadian Physiotherapy Association (CPA), and is an active member with both the CPA and the Ontario Physiotherapy Association. She believes patient-centered care should be about collaboration and empowerment, and is passionate about using this philosophy and her knowledge to guide her patients to achieve their optimal health. In her approach she uses manual therapy, functional strengthening exercise, and education to develop comprehensive therapy plans for her patients. Eva is committed to ongoing education taking courses in acupuncture, manual therapy, and exercise science which helps deliver treatment using current, innovative evidence-informed research which she tailors to each patient. She will be furthering her clinical knowledge by taking vestibular rehabilitation courses. In her down time, you can find her outside on the trails, running, cycle touring, and paddling. |
James "Jamie" CorkalPHYSIOTHERAPIST
Jamie received his Master of Science in Physical Therapy in 2016 from Queen’s University. Prior to completing his physical therapy degree, he obtained a Master of Science in Exercise Physiology (2013) and Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology (2009) at the University of Western Ontario. As a reflection of his education, Jamie employs a holistic approach to rehabilitation and considers the priorities of the person in addition to the area of injury. His practice emphasizes the unique circumstances of each individual’s injury and considers physiotherapy a collaborative approach with patients. Throughout his physical therapy career, Jamie has worked collaboratively with family and sports medicine physicians, orthopaedic surgeons, physiatrists, neurologists, audiologists and neuro-optometrists to optimize patient care and outcomes. He believes recovery and well-being is predicated on communication between all health care professionals involved in the individual’s treatment plan. Jamie is capable of providing a breadth of treatment options for people who require physical therapy for sports injuries, musculoskeletal pain, post-surgical rehabilitation, hip and knee replacements, complex and chronic pain, dizziness and vestibular disorders and post-concussion rehabilitation. Jamie has a love of sport, music and the arts. While living in Kelowna, Jamie was an offensive coordinator and quarterback coach for the Kelowna Owls high school football team. While not currently coaching, Jamie enjoys spending time outdoors with his fiancee Ashley and their Australian Shepherd, Kansas. Additionally, he loves to play the guitar and piano when he isn’t busy chasing around or being herded by Kansas. |
Simone RaisiRESIDENT PHYSIOTHERAPIST
Simone received her Master of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Pittsburgh in 2016 and her Bachelor of Physiotherapy from Terna Physiotherapy College in India in 2014. She got certified in Manual therapy from the EIM institute and became a Board Certified Orthopedic Specialist in the US. Simone practiced as a PT in the States for 6 years before moving to Canada in 2023 and is starting her practice as a Physiotherapist at ISM Rehab. Simone has extensive experience in treating outpatient musculoskeletal and neuromuscular conditions and enjoys working with every patient that walks through the door. She is an active listener and values her patients’ active participation in formulating a rehab plan. She serves as an expert integrating her knowledge and skills with their beliefs to achieve the best results. She focuses on evidence-based manual therapy, joint and soft tissue mobilization, exercise prescription and pain neuroscience education as her treatment techniques. Her goal is to make physiotherapy fun so that patients enjoy their rehab and feel content with the results. She is fluent in English, Gujarati and Hindi. In her free time, Simone loves to dance, listen to podcasts on nutrition and health, read mystery novels, cook healthy recipes and workout. |
Tully HolmanREGISTERED MASSAGE THERAPIST
As a graduate of the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy, and a Registered Massage Therapist with the CMTO, Tully believes that massage therapy can be incorporated into any health plan to help clients minimize pain and reach a higher state of health and well being. Tully is very interested in Eastern and Western theory and his massage and healing style reflects that. Tully takes the best of everything he learns and customizes it for his clients. Sometimes problems can manifest physically, emotionally or spiritually and there is a need to unlock these energetic patterns for the greatest success in the relief of pain and ailment. Tully uses acupressure, meridian therapy and massage to promote relaxation and decrease pain. When not working Tully enjoys the outdoors, snowboarding, martial arts and parkour. |
Curtis PartonPHYSIOTHERAPY ASSISTANT
Curtis graduated with presidential honors from Niagara College's Occupational Therapist assistant and Physiotherapist assistant program in 2021. Before finding a career in healthcare, he went to school for graphic design and animation.
In 2016, Curtis was involved in a motor vehicle accident. During his rehabilitation, he discovered his passion for helping others and pursued a career in physical therapy. Having been through a life changing event, Curtis has vowed to use his own personal experiences to help improve the lives of others and provide the best care possible. His goal is to make every client experience the feeling of pride that he once had when he took his first steps after spending months bound to a wheelchair. On Curtis' down time, he enjoys being artistic (drawing comic books and tattoos), being a father and loving husband and cheering on his favorite NHL team the Boston Bruins. |
Tesh MeertinsPHYSIOTHERAPY ASSISTANT
Tesh graduated from Humber College with a diploma in Physiotherapy Assistant and Occupational Therapy Assistant in 2019. She also graduated from George Brown College in 2015 with a certificate in Personal Support Work.
Through providing bedside care as a Personal Support Worker, and working in a clinic setting as a Physiotherapist Assistant, Tesh has gained a lot of experience working with diverse people and conditions. She is passionate about patient care, and approaches treatment with compassion. Tesh always strives to provide a positive experience for every client at ISM Rehab. In her spare time she enjoys taking her dog on hikes, reading novels, spending hours searching through thrift stores for the perfect vintage item, and spending time with friends and family. |
Sarah ZenoneOFFICE ADMINISTRATOR
Sarah graduated from Mohawk College Institute for Applied Health Sciences in 2015 with a diploma in Occupational Therapist Assistant and Physiotherapist Assistant; in addition she has a diploma as a Social Worker majoring in Gerontology that she obtained at Sheridan College Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning. She enjoys working within an interdisciplinary team, and has an empathetic approach to patient care. Ultimately, with her duel education, her goal is always to improve patient injuries using remediation strategies. She has experience in Neuroplasticity, Developmental disabilities, ADL retraining, and safe application of therapeutic modalities. Sarah has a constant desire to continue her education and learn new skills in order to provide the best possible care for all patients who attend ISM Rehab. Most recently she has completed her certification on Soft Tissue Release Techniques including treatment of low back, hip, neck, shoulder, and extremities. In her free time, Sarah enjoys staying active by doing yoga, hiking, canoeing, paddle boarding, and enjoying time with friends and family. |
Monica RiveraOFFICE ADMINISTRATOR
Monica graduated from the Occupational Therapist Assistant and Physiotherapist Assistant program at Niagara College in 2022. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Community Health from Brock University. She has completed various placements in long-term care and physiotherapy clinic settings throughout her education, which further amplified her love for the rehabilitation field. Monica has experience of Therapeutic exercise teaching and application of therapeutic modalities. She enjoys working with patients and the satisfaction of seeing them progress in their rehab journeys. She has completed her gentle persuasive approach training and is always looking to continue her education and learn new skills to provide the best patient care. In her spare time, she enjoys anything involving music, whether it be listening to it or playing her instruments or watching a good soccer game. |
Katrina WilliamsCLINIC MANAGER
Katrina completed her diploma for Physiotherapy Assistant/ Occupational Therapy Assistant at Mohawk College Institute of Applied Health Sciences. Katrina has been working in a clinical setting since she graduated in 2011 - 2016. In January 2018 Katrina completed her Bookkeeping course at Mohawk College and continues her education with accounting. She has now taken the role of Clinic Manager at ISM to take care of all of your billing and clinical needs. She decided to pursue a business role after completing her Bookkeeping course and likes to continuously learn and upgrade her skills with additional accounting courses. When Katrina isn’t working in the clinic she can be found hiking trails, working out at the gym and attending local beaches. |
